Salve,

attualmente ho un coolscan III, più che buono, e vorrei passare a un 4000 o a un V. Sono indeciso, le caratteristiche dei due apparecchi mi sembrano molto simili: 4000 dpi, profondità 14 bit. Credo che il V sia più recente con Ice 4 al post di Ice 3 ( che io uso pochissimo ). Chi mi aiuta nella scelta?

Occorrerebbe trovare un catalogo dell'epoca per confrontare le caratteristiche.
Da quel che ricordo la diversità era anche nella qualità dell'ottica

Regarding difference between Coolscan V and Supercoolscan 4000: Both machines have exact same 22mp resolution and 14 bit color depth. The V is a few years newer model. it replaced the 4000. The V sells for more because its newer but actually the 4000 is a more professional machine, hence the designation "Supercoolscan". The supercoolscan gives you the ability to do multi-pass scans for even cleaner resolution. And it can accept the roll film adapters (the SA-30 and the IA-20). And it can also accept the bulk slide loader (SF-210). There is a door on the back of the 4000 that allows the long film strips to exit unit, which allows the use of roll film adapters. The V doesnt have this door, so it cant use the roll adapters. No one knows why the V wont accept the SF-210, because it doesnt need the back door to operate. They try to force those customers into buying the 5000, which is a supercoolscan that has back door for roll film and accepts the SF-210. It depends on your needs which machine is for you.

Quindi, a quanto capisco, la qualità è la stessa. Il 4000, che è più vecchio, serve se si vuole scannerizzare intere pellicole da 36 pose, quindi è più professionale.
